Multi-factor authentication, also known as MFA or 2FA, provides an extra layer of protection to your account by verifying your identity through a second method or factor when granting access to College resources.
Multi-Factor Authentication keeps your account secure even if your password is compromised. Simply put, passwords aren't enough anymore. They are becoming easier and easier to compromise. MFA helps fight against phishing, social engineering, and helps to secure your logins from attackers using stolen credentials.
NWFSC will be slowly rolling out MFA to all accounts over the coming months. If you have any questions, please refer to the Solutions page or contact our Helpdesk at support@nwfsc.edu or 850-729-5396.
