                These are Standard instructions for password resets at NWFSC Helpdesk

First ask the User to go to NWFSC.edu and click Password Reset at the top of the screen.

You need to verify the identity in Banner (SPAIDEN)

You need to get the Username and open ADUC and use the search function

You need to right click username then “Reset password” (use either Continue1 or NWF123456! For the temp PW)

They need to select “set password” and then “Username only” (make sure they use just the part before the @nwfsc.edu)

You then let them know that “your password reset will take up to 30 minutes to sync with our systems” (The Temp Password works immediately the 30-minute delay is on the new password the user creates) and the user’s password will need to be 8-10 character with a capital letter and a number. it cannot be their name or anything to do with their username or an older password as this will flag in our system to call back if any issues persist past that point.
